有事情要出去了,但是还没写完,先把写完的发上来好了。
Bean curd
There are a lot of Chinese foods around the world. They have different testes and unique cooking style. Today I am going to introduce you my favor called “bean curd” or “tofu”. It is a jelly like cubes made from beans. It is a most common food that all Chinese like to eat. It is also a perfect breakfast and a delicious snack due to its different kinds of cooking methods. It is not just a food, there are interesting stories behind it. That is why Chinese consider it as the greatest Chinese food.
Bean curd has a lot of kinds. Actually I do not know how many kinds of bean curd exist. However, I know there are two common kinds of it. They are tender bean curd and the hard bean curd. The tender bean curd always used to cook for soup, and it is a perfect breakfast. The hard bean curd always used to fire, which is my favorite cooking method.
Chinese breakfast is a light breakfast. It is always porridge of rice and deep-fried fluffy dough sticks. The deep-fried fluffy dough sticks is very difficult to make and if you want to buy at restaurant will waste a lot of time. Therefore if you eat breakfast at home, the bean curd is your best choice. Normally it not needs to cook, and if you want to cook, it will not take a long time. Generally, take it as the breakfast will save the time and good for your health.
I do not like to eat it at restaurant because they always just fried it and the taste is not very good. Maybe their cooking skill is not good or it is not suitable my taste, I do not know. I like cooking it by myself. I cut it to quarter then fried them. After that I stir-fry them with soy sauce and same condiment. It is very easy to make, but its taste is really yummy. However, it also has some difficult cooking methods. For example, the spicy and hot bean curd is very popular, but its not everyone know how to cook. Nowadays, it is a very cheap food. However, it is very expensive and rare long time ago. At that time, it is one of the palace food, only people who is live in palace have chance to eat it, normal people are very difficult to eat it and even see it.
Bean curd has a long history. The history of it is more than a thousand years old. Nobody know when was it invented and who invented it. In folklore, there have many versions of stories about it. I know two very popular stories beside all stories.
The one version is An Liu invented the bean curd. He was grandson of first king of Han dynasty of China who name is Bang Liu. It invent about BC 164. In the story, the Mother of An Liu is like to eat bean very much. One day She is sick abed. An Liu ask the servant to milling the bean then cook it. After that, An Liu worry about the taste of bean soup, so he adds some salt, and the bean soup to be solidify. An Liu is also a Taoist who make pills of immortality. So After that, he is going to study for been with other Taoist. They discover the soybean milk can solidify by gesso and salt. They cook it and the taste is very yummy.
